De Palma & Associates Legal Services is proud to offer mediation services as an alternative form of dispute resolution.
As a mediator, Christina De Palma will assist parties in reaching a mutually satisfactory resolution to their dispute. The mediator does not make a decision for the parties - the mediator is a neutral facilitator. The parties are not obligated to resolve their dispute during mediation however the goal is to reach a resolution or at least narrow down the issues at hand.
At De Palma & Associates Legal Services we conduct mediation for any form of dispute. Some examples include:
- Divorce or separation
- Pre-marital discussions (ie prenuptial agreement)
- Employment (wrongful termination, disputes among employees, etc)
- Contract issues
- Estate disagreements
In keeping with our flat fee structure for paralegal services, our mediation services are offered at a flat rate for either a half day or a full day mediation session.
Parties do not have to retain a lawyer or paralegal to accompany them to mediation. However, if they already have retained a lawyer or paralegal that representative may attend the mediation session with their client.
A mediation session can be conducted at our Wasaga Beach office or at a location selected by the parties (so long as all parties consent to the location).
